Chassis:
Along with three other GT40s, this example was dispatched to Shelby American only to be sent back due to registration issues. After it was returned to Ford Advanced Vehicles, it was sold to Shell and used for promotional videos. Ahead of the 1968, it was sold to its first private owner and entered in several minor races. In the subsequent years, it featured in several magazine articles and was eventually damaged in 1976. Following a five-year restoration, it passes through several English and American owners. From the early 2000s, it has been part of the collection of a prominent English historic racer. He has campaigned the car with great success in events like the Goodwood Revival, Le Mans Classic and Tour Auto.
