Through Italauto in Lausanne, Switzerland, this alloy-bodied 275 GTB was delivered to its first owner. It was finished in Rosso Rubino and equipped with a black interior. The original owner held onto the car fro three years and then changed hands several times but remained in Switzerland throughout its life. In 1980, the original engine developed a problem and was replaced with a correct Ferrari V12. During the late 1980s, it was repainted in a brighter red colour that it still carries to this day. In 2004, it joined the impressive stable of Edgar Richoz. The car remained in his collection until the summer of 2020, when it was consigned to the online only RM Sotheby's Open Roads, The European Summer Auction.
