Chassis:
Fitted with an Oldsmobile Aurora V8 engine, this Mk III was sold new to the Doyle Racing team. It debuted with a victory at the Texas 500 Miles with Wayne Taylor and Jim Pace at the wheel. Later in the year, Taylor also won at Sears Point with Scott Sharp as his co-driver. During the 1997 season, it was campaigned by the Dibos Racing team, finishing third at both the Daytona 24 Hours and Sebring 12 Hours. Not raced in 1998, it was pressed back into service in 1999 with the TRV Motorsport team. By that time, it was fitted with a small-block Chevrolet V8 engine. The team raced the car through to the end of the 2002 season. It has since been restored to its originally livery and fitted with a might seven-litre Chevrolet. A veteran of five Daytona 24 Hours races, it was sold to its current custodian through French specialists the Ascott Collection.
