Chassis: CG901-05
One of six Leyton House chassis produced, this CG901 was raced in the 1990 Formula 1 World Championship. Many years later, it was acquired by its designer Adrian Newey. Even though he was fired by the team, he held fond memories of the car. After driving a sister car, he opted to acquired this one. During the second half of the 2010s, it was comprehensively restored by Patrick Morgan’s Dawn Treader Engineering, who had already rebuilt chassis CG901-03 a decade earlier. The three-year job was completed in time for the 2019 Goodwood Festival where chassis 05 was demonstrated by Adrian and his son Harrison Newey. They were back out with the car during the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed where 75 years of Formula 1 was celebrated.
