Chassis:
Road registered with the plate number EPR 525 D, this GT40 was fielded during the 1966 by Fred English. Among the drivers were the likes of Richard Attwood and Chris Amon. For the 24 Hours of Le Mans, English enlisted the services of Jochen Rindt and Innes Ireland. The latter did not even take part in the race as the engine failed after just eight laps. Before the end of the year, it was sold on to Ron Fry, who continued to race the GT40 with some success in local events well into the 1968 season. The next custodian was Bob Vincent, who fielded the car as late as 1970. In more recent years, it was owned for nearly two decades by British enthusiast Dudley Mason-Styrron. Now in French ownership, it was back on track in the summer of 2021.
