Chassis:
Finished in 'Goodwood Green' with a red Connolly leather interior, this left-hand drive DB4 GT was finished in June of 1961. Its first owner was legendary Swiss racing car entrant Georges Filipinetti. He had also specified a 3.54:1 rear axle, Dunlop RS5 tyres and a Powr-Lok limited-slip differential. Filipinetti owned the car through to the end of the year and sold it on with around 3,800 km on the odometer. The next custodian was a fellow Swiss, Dr. Gwer E. Reichen. He sent the car back to the factory for competition oriented upgrades and subsequently campaigned the car in a variety of hill-climbs and slalom events during the remainder of the decade. He would retain the car for nearly five decades and had covered over 100,000 km by the early 1990s. It was rebuilt during the 1990s and had also been painted blue. At the 2010 Retromobile show, it was offered for the first time in 48 years, by dealer Gregor Fisken, and passed to German collector Constantin von Dziembowski. He had the car comprehensively restored to its original configuration by Marksdanes Restorations in England. In 2016, it was sold on to its fourth owner, who was from the United States. One of 29 surviveing left-hand drive DB4 GTs, it was consigned as one of the headliners to the 2021 Gooding Pebble Beach Auctions.
