Chassis:
Originally a spare for the Aston Martin Racing works effort at Le Mans in 2006, this customer DBR9 was subsequently sold to Charouz Racing Systems. Before it was delivered, it was fitted with a larger restrictor, making the engine significantly more powerful. In 2008, it was entered for Stefan Mücke in the Brno round of the Czech Touring Car Championship. The German driver finished second overall behind a Mercedes-Benz DTM car. For the 2010 season, chassis DBR9/108 was loaned to the Young Driver team, who replaced the ex-works livery with their white and red colours. Not raced, it served as a show car and was also used for pit-stop training. The following year, the DBR9 was returned to Charouz Racing Systems. From the Czech team, it was acquired by a German historic racer, who had Motohistorics prepare the car for historic racing.
