Chassis:
The sixth and final EX257 produced by Lola, this example was sold new to Dyson Racing for use in the American Le Mans Series together with a sister car. Raced predominantly by James Weaver and Butch Leitzinger, it was raced as the #16 from the fall of 2002 through to the end of the 2005 season. It was hugely successful with Weaver and Leitzinger scoring three outright victories, including back-to-back wins at Mosport in 2004 and 2005. Blisteringly fast, it also scored ten pole positions. During he 2006 season, it was campaigned by Duncan Dayton's Highcroft team with a third at Petit Le Mans as the best result. This was also the final contemporary outing for the car. Restored to its Dyson Racing colours, it has been raced by a German historic racer in 2022, scoring two wins at the Spa Classic.
