Chassis:
One of just 213 North American specification F40s built, this example was acquired from Ferrari of Walnut Creek by Canadian Ronald Budworth. He would continue to own the car through to 2010 but only covered 200 miles. It was sold on to a Hawaii-based collector and still only used sparingly. In 2008, it was sold at auction for what was a world record price at the time. Since then, this exceptionally well preserved changed hands several times more and received numerous awards at the 2021 Ferrari Club of America Annual Experience. These included a 100-point platinum award. It had only accrued 1,800 miles when it was consigned to the Gooding Pebble Beach Auctions.
