Chassis:
Completed in June of 1958, this Series II BMW 507 Roadster was originally finished in Dolomite Grey. It was sold new to Casa dell'Automobili in Rome in August of 1958. Its early life has not been documented until it was offered for auction in 1973. It is believed to have been sold to a Swiss BMW dealer, who had it restored. It would remain with him for the next four decades. The subsequent owner had the car displayed in his museum for many years before consigning it with the rest of his collection to the 2022 RM Sotheby's Munich sale. Due to its lengthy spell as a static display, it will require a full recommissioning.
