Chassis:
Although carrying chassis number 001, this BTR2 was not delivered to its new owner until 1998. It is believed that its first custodian was from Japan and the BTR2 then moved to the United Kingdom before coming to the United States. Its first American owner was Andy Cohen of the Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories company. Before taking delivery, he sent the BTR2 back to Ruf to be converted to the American engine specification. It was sold once more before it joined a stable of Ruf automobiles. Along with three others, it was consigned to the 2022 Gooding Amelia Island Auction.
