Chassis:
Through Ferrari distributor Luigi Chinetti, this 275 GTB/4 was sold new to Edward A. Skae from Lake Forest, Illinois. It was delivered over the road to Skae by Harley Cluxton. In August of 1969, chassis 10803 was acquired by Carl C. Gagliano from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He would use the car only sparingly but retained it until his passing in 1996. It was then retained by his family for a further seventeen years. After a single family ownership of over four decades, it joined the collection of Peter Klutt. Having been cherished throughout the Gagliano family ownership, it was in a beautiful preserved condition. With the exception of some minor accident repair to the front of the car, the 275 GTB/4 had survived remarkably originally. It was shown by Klutt at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, placing second in the post-War preservation class. Sold at auction in 2015, it passed through two major collections before it was consigned to the 2023 Gooding Amelia Island Auctions with just 10,800 original miles on the odometer.
