Chassis:
Delivered from the factory as a bare shell, 004 0006 was built up as a complete car by Kremer Racing. Liveried in dark blue and orange Samson colours, it was raced extensively during the 1974 season in the DRM series and European GT Championship with great success. Among its drivers were Gijs van Lennep, Bob Wollek, John Fitzpatrick, Willi Kauhsen and Clemens Schickentanz. Fitzpatrick ended the year as European GT Championship. At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it was shared by Paul Keller, Hans Heyer and Erwin Kremer but they were forced to retire early with engine damage. In 1975, the car was sold to Louis Meznarie. He entered the car at Le Mans in 1977 but failed to qualify for the race. It was then acquired by Carlo Noce of the Italian Sportwagen team. He would retain the car through to the early 2000s, when it was acquired by a Monaco-based Porsche enthusiast. He had it fully restored and returned it to the track in 2023.
