Chassis:
Delivered new to K.N. Rudd ltd of Worthing, Aston Martin’s largest dealership at the time, this DB4 GT originally served as a factory demonstrator. It was one of just three examples fitted with occasional rear seats. Chassis 0157/R subsequently featured in the 1963 movie ‘The Wrong Arm of the Law’ as Peter Sellers’ getaway car. During the filming, the block was damaged and it was then repaired by the factory with a four-litre block at the factory. It is believed to have been owned by Peter Sellers after it was repaired. It remained in the UK until the mid-1970s and was then exported to New Zeeland. It was repatriated in 1999 and meticulously restored. From a single ownership since 2004, it was consigned to the 2023 Bonhams Goodwood Festival of Speed sale.
