Chassis:
Built ahead of the 2003 season, this is the sixth 550 GTS Maranello built by Prodrive. It was campaigned by the Veloqx Prodrive Racing team in the American Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was first raced at Sebring where it retired with a clutch failure. It was then entered at Le Mans for Peter Kox, Tomas Enge and Jamie Davies. They qualified 20th overall and first in class. In the race the talented trio moved up the order to finish 10th overall and first in class. Chassis CRD 06 was then shipped back to the United States where it helped the Prodrive team to finish a very close second in the GTS standings. The Le Mans winning 550 GTS Maranello was retired from active duty and retained by Frédéric Dor until 2023. Restored to full running order, the last V12-engined Ferrari to win at Le Mans then joined a spectacular French collection, which already included one of the other ten 550 GTS Maranello. Under new ownership, it was demonstrated at the Dix Mille Tours.
