Chassis:
A works car built ahead of the 2001 season, this EX257 debuted at the Le Mans Test with Kevin McGarritty, Mark Blundell and Julian Bailey at the wheel. For the race proper, the all-British line-up qualified 17th overall but retired from the race with an oil-leak after 92 laps. The same team was back in 003 the following year and qualified an impressive sixth overall. Sadly, the engine let the MG Lola down once again. After the works program ended, the car was acquired by Intersport Racing in the United States. It was raced in several ALMS races during the 2003 season with a LMP675 class win at Trois-Rivières as the best result. Not raced again in period, it was eventually restored to its original configuration. Through the Ascott Collection, it was sold to its current, French owner, who first raced it during the 2003 Le Mans Classic.
