Although completed in the fall of 1990, this F40 was not registered with its first owner, in Bologna, in 1992. Shortly thereafter, it was sold to Germany, where it remained for around a decade. It then moved across the Channel in the early 2000s. It changed hands twice until it was acquired by Dick Lovett Sporting Limited in 2013, who performed a major service. The next custodian had the F40 fully Ferrari Classiche Certified. Regularly serviced, this cherished F40 had completed just under 21,000 km when it was consigned to the 2023 RM Sotheby’s London sale.
