Featured is one of the three Touring Spyders built for the 1953 24 Hours of Le Mans race. It was the very car that Jover fatally crashed, yet ironically it is the only known survivor of the three. After the Le Mans debacle, the car was repaired and raced in various for two more seasons. In 1963 the car was sold to the United States and in 1981 entered the collection of Stephen Block. He had the car carefully restored with the help of Spanish expert Enrique Coma-Cros. After the restoration, he campaigned the car in numerous events both on the road and on the track. In recent years he sold the car to a German collector. The ex-Le Mans Pegaso is pictured above during the 2004 Retromobile in Paris where it was displayed prominently on the stand of Swiss broker Lukas Huni.
