Chassis:
Delivered new to Hamburg, Germany in 1988, this 959 ‘Komfort’ was finished in Guards Red with a bespoke, paint-to-sample black leather interior. It was commissioned by German property developer Ursula Boemans, who would own the car through to 1990. It had one more German owner before it was sold to the United States in 2000 under the show and display exemption. Some eight years later, the 959 moved from Ohio to Los Angeles, and it then changed hands again in 2023. Throughout its life, the Porsche was meticulously maintained and most recently benefited from an extensive service from marque specialist Canepa. At this time, the hydraulic suspension system was replaced by Canepa’s proprietary performance suspension system upgrade, which uses more straightforward coil springs. Early in 2024, the well-documented 959 was consigned to RM Sotheby’s annual Arizona sale.
