Through the Ferrari distributor in Fribourg, Switzerland, this 275 GTB/4 was sold new to Swiss racing driver Jo Siffert. It was originally finished in light-blue with a black interior. Siffert only owned the 275 GTB/4 for a short period and it then had two further Swiss owners before being sold the United States in 1972. The final Swiss owner had 09689 re-painted red. In 1974, it entered the long-term ownership of an enthusiast from Massachusetts. The V12-engined Ferrari was used only sparingly and was placed in static storage around the turn of the century. From a single ownership of 50 years, it was consigned to the 2024 Gooding Amelia Island Auctions in highly original condition and with less than 64,000 km on the odometer.
