Chassis:
The seventh and last Elise GT1 built, this example was run by Toine Hezemans’ GT1 Lotus Racing team. Powered by the Corvette V8 engine, it was entered in the 1997 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans for Jan Lammers, Mike Hezemans and Alexander Grau. While the sister car failed to qualify, chassis 007 started the race 26th on the grid. Just before the ten-hour mark, it was, however, forced to retire due to an oil leak. There are no more recorded races for this car but it was retained by the Hezemans family. It was eventually restored to full running for historic racing. Now fitted with an OHV Corvette V8 engine, it was first raced at the 2023 Dix Mille Tours.
