Chassis:
One of only two McLaren F1s finished in Marlboro white, this example was sold new to Kazumichi Goh. A successful Japanese businessman, he was also the backer of Team Goh, which would go on to win the 1996 Japanese Grand Tour Car Championship with a pair of McLaren F1 GTRs and later also scored an outright win at Le Mans with an Audi R8. In addition to the distinct exterior finish, chassis 053 also featured a striking interior with the driver seat finished in light blue Alcantara. Commissioned in March of 1995, it was delivered to Goh on November 27 with 193 testing kilometres on the odometer. The car remained in Goh his collection until 2004, when it was acquired by another Japanese collector. The third custodian bought the F1 two years later having covered a mere 432 km. It was subsequently sold to Europe through Lukas Huni and then to the United States in 2014 by Morris & Welford. Late in 2016, it joined a longterm European collection having covered 1,108 km. Throughout its life, it was meticulously maintained by McLaren Special Operations. In 2024, it was part of the Supercars at the Louwman Museum display. With 1,291 km on the odometer, one of the lowest mileage McLaren F1s extant was shown at the Kidston stand during the 2025 Retromobile show and was subsequently sold by Kidston to a new owner represented by Broad Arrow Private Sales.
