Chassis:
A third series 8C 2300 built on a long chassis, 2311207 was dispatched in 1933 to Paris where it was fitted with a Tourer body by Joseph Figoni. It combines the elegant lines of a luxurious cabriolet with a competition derived ‘Monza’ radiator cowling. Understood to have been sold new in France, it was imported into the United Kingdom in 1953. First restored during the 1960s, it has since been owned by several noted collectors that include Bill Serri, David Cohen and Henry Petronis. After being red for many years, it was restored again more recently and re-finished in a dark blue with a red leather interior. In 2025, it was consigned as one of the headliners for the Gooding Christie’s Pebble Beach Auctions.
