Chassis:
The third M382 built in 1982, this example was sold to privateer racer Christian Bussi. Equipped with a Cosworth DFL engine, it was raced in the very first Group C race at Monza. A fuel pump issue ended the charge early of the all-French driver line-up. For Le Mans, Bussi was joined by Belgians Bernard de Dryver and Pascal Witmeur. From 36th on the grid, they finished 15th. The car remained a set fixture at Le Mans for four more years, three times with Bussi Racing and the final outing came with Patrick Oudet. The car was last raced at the Kyalami 500 km in November of 1986. Shortly thereafter, it joined the collection of the Le Mans Museum as a tribute to Jean Rondeau, who had passed away late in 1985 in a traffic accident. Having 37 years in the Le Mans Museum, it was brought back to life by the Association Jean Rondeau. Former Rondeau personnel helped restore car to full running in time for the 2025 Le Mans Classic where it ran in a special tribute livery.
