Through Auto Becker in Düsseldorf, this F40 was sold new to a German enthusiast from Mühlheim am Main. It was finished in Rosso Corsa Ferrari and equipped with Rosso Stoffa Vigogna racing seats. Following its spell in German hands, it moved to the United Kingdom during the mid-1990s. In 1997, it was fitted with a new speedometer, calibrated for miles per hour. At that time, it had covered 8,714 km but the new odometer was once again set to zero. The car remained in the United Kingdom through to 2022 when it moved across the Atlantic. Since arriving in the United States, it has been comprehensively serviced and also received Ferrari Classiche certification in February of 2024. With 9,380 miles on the new odometer, so around 14,800 miles total, it was entrusted to RM Sotheby’s in 2026 for the annual Arizona sale.
