Chassis:
The original owner of this red over black 288 GTO was Dr. Vincenzo Garraffia from Sicily. He acquired the car through Ferrari’s official dealer in Roma, Sa.Mo.Car S.p.A. The Ferrari remained with its first custodian until 1994. It was then acquired by a prominent German collector, who would later become a Formula 1 team principal. Still in highly original condition, it was Ferrari Classiche Red Book certified in 2024. With a mere 1,500 km on the odometer and offered by only second owner from new, chassis 52471 was consigned to the 2026 Gooding Christie’s Retromobile Auction.
