Chassis:
The fourth of five 642 F1s built, this example first appeared at the Brazilian Grand Prix where it served at a spare car for Alain Prost. The following month, it was again the T car for Prost. With the updated 643 F1 pressed into service shortly thereafter, chassis 125 was ultimately never raced in period. It was sold to an Italian collector a few years later. In 2012, it was inspected by Ferrari Classiche and it was determined to be fitted with the correct specification engine and seven-speed semi-automatic gearbox. Complete but in need for a recommission, it was consigned to the RM Sotheby’s 2026 Monaco sale.
