Chassis:
Completed late in 1958, this California Spyder was finished in red with a black interior. It was delivered new to John van Neumann, who was Ferrari's representative on the West Coast of the United States. In 1970, it was acquired by its second owner, who was also from California. In 1988, chassis 0965GT was sold to Europe and passed through the hands of Michel Ferry from whom it was acquired by Jean Pierre Slavic in 2002. Two years later, it was sold at Bonham's Ferrari Sale in Gstaad Switzerland, where it changed ownership for just under 1.5 million Swiss Francs. Still in Swiss hands, it has since been restored and finished in an elegant aubergine exterior colour.
