Chassis:
This is the first of six R90C chassis used during the 1990 season. It served as a T-car at Monza and Le Mans but was used more actively in the second half of the season. At Le Mans, it was used extensively in practice, and is understood to be the chassis used by Mark Blundell to achieve the famous pole position with a 3:27.020. That was a full six seconds faster than the rest of the field. The car's best results were a fifth and fourth at the Montreal and Mexico City rounds of the World Championship respectively. After its contemporary racing career, chassis R90C/1 eventually passed into private hands. Beautifully prepared by Phil Stott Motorsport, it has been a set fixture in the Historic Group C Championship for many years.
