Chassis:
Both of the surviving XJR-14s are today owned by the same collector and historic racer. Having suffered big accidents during their two-year careers, neither had ended their racing careers without scars. With an eye on returning the XJR-14 to the track and seriously compete with one, the owner of the two cars had Lanzante Motorsport built him a third example around a spare tub. Dubbed chassis X91, it was constructed to the original World Championship winning specifications and livery. The intention was to run the car in the Group C support race of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2010 but due to heavy penalties inflicted on post-1990 cars, the owner eventually opted to withdraw. He did bring chassis X91 to the Goodwood Festival of Speed for us all to admire. This could very well have been the first public run, at pace, for an XJR-14 since 1992.
