Featured is one of the of the rarest variations on the Type 35 theme; the Type 39A. Built specifically for Grand Prix racing, it features a 1.5 litre supercharged version of the straight eight engine. Only used by the works team, only around a dozen of these racers were constructed. The pictured example is seen here in impeccable condition during the 2007 Monterey Historic Automobile Races.
