Chassis:
Around the time of the Countach's launch the world suffered from a financial crisis, which did not make the expensive supercar very easy to sell. This freed little to no capital to properly develop the Countach. Fortunately a Canadian enthusiast, Walter Wolf, stepped up and backed the company. Five LP400 based cars were constructed for him with wider wheelarches to make room for Pirelli's new P7 tire. Featured is the second of these, which would form the basis for the LP400S launched in 1978. This car originally packed a five litre engine, but before Wolf sold it a standard four litre was installed. Following Wolf's ownership, the car was displayed for many years in Peter Kaus' Rosso Bianco Museum. It is now part of a prominent Italian Lamborghini collection.
