Chassis:
One of Joseph Figoni's most exuberant post-war designs was his 'Narval', named after an Arctic whale with a long ivory tusk. A quick look at the nose of the Delahaye 135 M pictured above is enough to discover it was an aptly chosen nick-name. The featured car was unveiled at the Barcelona show in 1948 and has since been in Egyptian and American ownership. It won best in class in the 1987 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and returned almost 20 years later when Delahaye was the featured marque.
