"What memories you hold dear to you heart are not those of a myth; they are of a hero. If Shakespeare were alive today, then the world of the year 2501 would be reading of a warrior named Ayrton. In their mind's eye they would imagine a seemingly mythical world of asphalt race tracks; a car that accelerated quicker than the hand of God and braked twenty fold, and one man. They would long for the days of the chariots. Passing down stories of a constructor called ""McLaren"", a car believed to be named ""MP4/4"" and the legend of a master Japanese engine builder who was known throughout many nations, and went by the name of ""Honda"". Take pride in your victories; for it was Ayrton who put the power to the ground."
 Ayrton Senna - LEGEND

Being just at the age of 14 I never really got the chance or gift of getting to watch Aryton Senna drive a race car. Living in America, F1 isn't as known here as in other countries but but from stories by my dad or reading books I understand how great Aryton Senna really was. As a race fan of all series F1, CART, NASCAR, IRL, and many more Aryton Senna truly was a legend.
From a hero to a myth...

Sixteen times in a year, people here in Brazil would wake up early on a Sunday morning and watch an F1 race. They would do this with the hope that 2 hours later they would be seing Ayrton Senna driving his car with one hand, and waving the Brazilian flag in the other, which would mean Senna would be celebrating yet another victory in his fantstic F1 career. Those who aren't Brazilian do not fully understand what Senna's victories meant to us, but they can be summarized as victories of an entire nation, who 16 times a years would forget the plagues that troubled them and lay their hopes over a man wo made us feel proud and strong. Then, on May 1st 1994, the unthinkable happened, Senna died, we lost a hero and gained a myth. R.I.P.
