The IMSA GTP series began in 1981. The March/BMW M1C was the first true GTP car debuting at Riverside with the Lola T-600 debuting and winning at the folowing race, Laguana Seca. Group C began in 1982. The 962 debuted at Daytona 1984 with the Andrettis. The first customer car was the Leven car at Riverside that was raced by Holbert while awaiting 962-103. |
