Thanks Wouter for posting this set...this was the one car that, had it been properly sorted, MIGHT have been able to give the mighty orange McLaren M6's a run for their money in 1967. Probably had less to do with the car itself than with Dan Gurney's insanely forceful driving. There is a Triangle racing films clip on YouTube of a frustrated Dan blasting out of the pits at Elkhart Lake after a pit stop ruined his race where he leaves 2 hundred-foot long black streaks behind in a savage frenzy, rejoining the fray. Utterly glorious! |
