There was a real threat of communism taking over Nicaragua. The U.S. stepped in and prevented that from happening. That's why people like the one I quoted said "Thank you" to Ronald Reagan.
I like the trouble. Makes the answer worth having.

I like how other people answer posts not directed to them.

I would reply what you posted, but I have no idea what you're talking about.

Since you didn't challenge what I posted, I guess you accept it (a wise decision since it's true).

Come on Fleet, it's a public bulletin board system.

If we only wanted private chats we coudl all stay on messenger or e-mails.

3rd person viewpoints are useful when 2 are locked in "struggle"

It's funny, though, how many people answer a question directed at someone else before the person it was intended for responds himself.

It may have something to do with how many people see flaws in your arguments.

I think Fleet deserves a little more credit than most of us give him. At least he's got the patience to defend his side (alone) as we press past 30 pages.

    Anyway, back to the arguments:

Given the fact that socialism was irrefutably not "a threat" to vast majority of the population in Nicaragua (and was welcomed instead), how do you respond?

I think you have a point, but personally I'd replace the emboldened word with almost any one these.
