newegg drug its feet about getting Tuniqs for some reason
I need a whole new PC system.. i just came back from my friends house, Dual Core X2 Athlon, X1950XT, 2gb RAM... i nearly died playing games on 1280x1024 with max graphics..
You can see where the £1300 went though.
Might get one of them, at least they support the olden byt golden socket 478's, which i still have..
No point to put these towers on a CPU that old......oh and you're definitely better off building a new system in mid-2007 if you don't play much games, as cheaper next-gen mainstream stuffs are approaching and most likely to perform similar to high-end stuffs we have now, plus the DX10 support. Or if you wanna go cheap, a system like mine will handle all current games at max smoothly, although my CPU's still bottlenecking. Screw my 3500+, I'm ordering an Opteron 180 next week (X2 4800+ equivalent).Originally Posted by adamfraser
If you're interested in a cheap and lapped 3500+ with an aftermarket cooler.........lemme know.

- The Hyper really isn't pulling the weight, even with my "ghetto" 35 CFM fan mod, 51 under load is a bit hot!
Reseat perhaps...
Or perhaps a reserator....
Lol I told you to buy another fan for it, the fan that comes with it just doesn't cut it. Mine's always being blown at by 110cfm.Originally Posted by Jakg
Check out the Thermalright SI-120 and SI-128 before you put your hands on watercooling, those 2 are very good and installation only requires replacing the socket brackets, although they don't come with fans, so you'll have to buy your own 120mm fan.
