Months ago I visited the Dutch circuit of Assen for this lovely event. The weather was perfect as well!
Besides seeing many beautiful Italian automobiles in the paddocks there were amateur races with Alfa's, Ferrari's and bikes. Oh yeah and the Dutch Alfa Club was very present. Also the event was joined by two 'very Italian' Porsche's 911 and a Koenigsegg - love to have seen it in person though
I had a ride as a passenger in a 90's Maserati Ghibli (306 hp) around the circuit. You could not pick the car upfront. It was nice but not thrilling as I expected (what I expected was a racing Ferrari 360 or something) - maybe with that car and a professional driver it would have been another story.
The circuit's straight is not that long and having a quick look on the speedometer we travelled around 180 km/u fastest in the Maserati. You could also drive a few rounds on the circuit with your own car, which I did not as I rather keep it alive (it is my daily mode of transport).
I am going to repeat myself, my pictures and camera suck (reason I seldom use any of the images in Hide Out), but as a reference to the event they suit the job perfectly fine.
Cheers!
