 "Just had the pleasure driving one of these ""beasts' to Munchen. Imposing and exceptionally good. But hey, as a BMW 3 Coup� driver, maybe I not a good reference. Hope the Velsatis sales will pick up one day....not sure how Patrick Le Quement can modify much of the shape."

 I've been in Paris recently and I've seen a lot of Vel Satis around. The styling is peculiar, sure it doesn't look like any other car (I mean non Reanult cars). It looks very interesting in black with dark windows with large alloy wheels (and in the last years Renault put some great alloy wheels design on their production cars and prototypes).
 My opinion about it.

 First , note that the power is 245hp , not 235. Because the design is so different in its category , people don't like it. I'm familiar with this car , I think people should be more open-minded. Very confortable , luxurious , very well finished and a Cabasse sound system. I really like it , I'm please it looks so different from the all looking the same MBs , Audis , VW...
