Chassis:
The penultimate AMR1 built, chassis 04 was substantially lighter than the first three examples. It was raced four times in the second half of 1989 by David Leslie, partnered by Brian Redman for the first two and by Michael Roe for the others. The best result was a fourth at Brands Hatch for Leslie and Redman. In 2001, this AMR1 was acquired directly from the factory by an American Aston Martin enthusiast. Restored to full running order, it is seen here at the 2013 Monterey Motorsports Reunion where it was re-united with Brian Redman. It has now been consigned to the biennial RM Auctions Monaco sale where it is estimated to find a new owner for EUR 700,000 - 1,000,000.
