Chassis:
The second example built, this 365 California was sold new to the Marquis de Cuevas through Luigi Chinetti in New York. The son of the legendary ballet businessman, the Marquis specified a rather unusual finish of ivory with a light blue interior. He only briefly owned the car as it passed into the longtime ownership of American Burt Borman in 1968. During his ownership, the car was first painted dark blue and later re-painted burgundy. In 2005, he finally parted with the car when it joined the Mallya Collection following Sotheby's Ferrari auction.
