Chassis:
The first of three McLaren MP4/2s built ahead of the 1984 season, this was the car used by Niki Lauda. The Austrian raced it to four victories and many more podium scoring positions on his way to his third World Championship. Retained by McLaren, it has been completely restored to full running order in recent years. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Lauda's and McLaren's 1984 World Championships, it was wheeled out for the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed where it was driven by McLaren junior drivers Stoffel Vandoorne and Oliver Turvey.
