Chassis:
One of a pair of SE88Cs fielded by Spice Engineering in the 1988 World Championship, this was the car shared by Ray Bellm and Gordon Spice himself. It turned out to be the car to beat and scored several class victories, including at Le Mans where it also placed 13th overall. At the end of the year, Bellm and Spice had clinched enough points to be crowned World Champions. The following year, chassis 003 was fielded by Don Shead's Team Mako and late in the season scored several C2 class wins in the hands of various drivers including James Shead and Robbie Stirling. It was dusted off for an Interserie campaign in 1992 but with limited success. Once again boasting its 1988 World Championship and Le Mans winning colours, it has been raced in the historic Group C championship for many years.
