Chassis:
Completed late in 1972, this Lightweight 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was delivered new to its German owner in December of that year. It was finished in Grand Prix White with black leatherette interior, while the options included a limited slip differential, a retractable antenna and loudspeakers. During the 1980s, the car was modified with RSR-type brakes and bodywork and fitted with a larger engine. The car was sold to the United States in the early 1990s and was eventually acquired by noted Porsche collector David Mohlman in 2003. He had the car comprehensively restored to its original configuration by RennSport Racing of New Orleans. Since the restoration was completed, it has only completed test and sorting miles. Early in 2019, the rare Lightweight 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was consigned to the Gooding Amelia Auction.
