Chassis:
Built in 1997, this 911 GT2 was sold new to Portuguese gentleman racer Manuel Monteiro. Fielded under the Estoril Racing banner, it was raced extensively by Monteiro and his son Michel from 1997 through to 2002. It appeared at Le Mans in 1998 and 1999 with Michel Maisonneuve as the co-driver. At the first outing, it ran fourth in class until the engine blew in the final hour, while in 1999 the car suffered accident damage halfway through the race. Following its long contemporary racing career, the GT2 was retained by the Monteiro family, until it was eventually sold to a French enthusiast. It has since made select appearances in the Endurance Racing Legends series before it was consigned to Paris broker Historic Cars at the start of the 2020 season. It has since joined the collection of a German historic racer.
