Chassis:
Completed in February of 1995, this 911 GT2 R had a lengthy competition career. It was campaigned extensively in the FIA GT Championship by subsequent owners. It was rolled in 1999 and rebuilt on a factory supplied spare shell. It continued to be raced through to the 2000 season. In the mid-2010s, it was rebuilt and re-finished in silver. It joined a comprehensive stable of Porsches. Along with the rest of the collection, it was consigned to the owner RM Sotheby’s Carrera Collection sale. Kept on static display in the collection, it was in need of a complete recommissioning at the time of catologuing.
