Chassis:
Through Ferrari of Houston, this rare US-delivery example was sold to local enthusiast Dahr Jamail. He immediately had the the car re-painted Azzurro California, which was his preferred shade of blue. It changed hands in 1998 and was acquired by Mark Rand, who had it re-finished once more at the same shop to its original Rosso Corsa. Rand brought the car to various events before selling it on to actor Nicolas Cage in 2004. He owned it only briefly and it would change hands several times during the next two decades but was always fastidiously maintained. A Platinum award winner at the Cavallino Classic, it was eventually consigned to the 2024 RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction. Selling for just over $5.5 million, it set a new world record for an F50 sold at auction.
