| Nice car, but... |
| Propercarnut 25-12-2002 |
This is a fantastic car. I preferred the SV of course, as would most red blooded males, but this was the only one I ever got a decent drive in. A friend of mine owned one down in Switzerland, and I thought it only reasonable that I should take it for a ride around the scenery when I borrowed it for a weekend. Mountain roads, rocks (the world's best acoustic mirrors), tunnels (equally good), and lots of twisty bits. Magic. That 4 litre V12 makes such a fantastic noise, and the power's quite pleasant too! While it may not be that fast by today's standards (although swift), it's still entirely reasonable, and when on those skinny mountain roads and those skinny tyres, those 370 horses are enough for me. Only trouble is if you get over about 100mph the ol' understeer problem becomes more of a life threatening issue! |
