Seeing my old man work on his old automobile brought a question into my young head. What car would you say, despite being a pain to tinker with, is/was your favorite to work on?

You can call me scott.
/would?
probably a really really loud '67 mustang that breaks down every 10 miles but sounds like god on earth when you drive it away
If you're talking about dreams, I hope it would be some classic. Maybe one of Alfa Giulia coupes.
I can assure you that the Giulia Coupe has given some Alfa fans some headaches through time! But it's all forgotten when you get out on the road and find those nice fast turns that the car loves so much
It can give you a headache, but on the other hand, it is the best headache curer in the world to!
Probably a '27 T-bucket roaster rod. Maybe with the big Packard straight eight you can't get parts for anymore but will pull the house off its foundation.
Realistically? See sig for my daily driver.
An it harm none, do as ye will

TVR Tuscan S. At least it's a modern car that you can work on yourself, though!

My race car. It's tough being 6' 1" when working on an MG Midget.
Or my uncle's race car. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum...&pictureid=120
BBC turning 8,000 rpms with open headers is something to hear. It will give you an instant headache.

B5 S4's require dropping the engine to replace the turbos when (and I mean when) they go. That said, it's a great opportunity to do a dual K04 upgrade and the results with that and some larger exhaust will put you running 350+ wheel all day.
The Golf is easy to work on. I can literally see the ground when I open my hood.
W8 Passats and any Phaeton are a pain in the ass to work on.

My mother's vectra is way easier to work on , my golf just seems to be "clicked" together with plastic clips that break easyly.
As a matter of fact , I was "working" on it yesterday, because my mechanic said that their was some leakage at the camshaft oil seal.
But I didn't see anything crazy at first sight at the seal , however the cambelt cover had oil on it on the inside. When I looked at the front of the engine I saw al the hoses around the oil dipstick where covered in oil.
When I got it back together and started it there was an abnormal fuel smell
coming from where the fuel lines enter the engine bay, I saw no leaks though.
This gives me a slight headache
